The South Fork Sampler Adventure Race Highlights The Natural Resources of Gaston County
For the third year in a row, Human Powered Movement is bringing the South Fork Sampler Adventure Race to our backyard on April 27 & 28 while raising critical dollars for the Catawba Riverkeeper.
An adventure race is essentially a scavenger hunt where teams or solo participants are tasked with running, biking, and paddling to collect as many checkpoints as possible in the shortest amount of time. These checkpoints are spread throughout the beautiful and ample greenways, trails, rivers, and parks of Gaston County!
The South Fork Sampler Adventure Race
April 27 & 28, 2024
The 2024 “Sampler” will feature 3 different categories to allow participants of all skill levels a chance to explore the natural resources and experience our region in a whole new perspective. Both the Short Course (4Hr) and Long Course (8Hr) option will be held on Saturday, April 27 with a brand-new Family Edition (3Hr) on Sunday, April 28.
All categories will start and finish at Confluence in Cramerton which is the perfect backdrop for a post-race party including cold beer, handmade awards, and tons of raffle prizes from the event sponsors.
