Barktoberfest
Cavendish Brewery | Oct 1st
All dogs are welcome to the bar as we celebrate Barktoberfest at Cavendish Brewing Company in Gastonia. Come shop local at this daytime event and hang out and love on our four legged friends.
Wine & Beer Tasting
Schiele Museum | Oct 4th
Don't miss the last Wine and Beer event in 2022! We'll be enjoying an evening in the Pumpkin Patch while trying new wines & beers and kicking back with music with Caleb Davis! Limited tickets available. This event has sold out every time, so don't wait to purchase yours!
Heritage & Harvest Days
Dallas Park | Oct 7th - 9th
Exhibitors from all over the southeast will convene in Dallas, North Carolina on October 7-9, 2022 for the annual 'crank-up' of antique steam and gasoline engines and tractors. In addition to the engine show, many activities are planned including a Kids County Fair, Heritage Arts Area, Handmade Craft vendors and Music. So mark your calendars and plan to join GAMTRA and Gaston County Parks & Recreation Department as we present Heritage & Harvest Days. As always, the food is good and admission and parking are free.
Lowell Fall Festival
Lowell | October 8th
Meet in downtown Lowell on First Street for craft vendors, food trucks, Oktoberfest by Cavendish, music, and kids activities on October 8th!
Fall Carnival
Caromont Health Park | October 22nd
Games, inflatables, free carnival prizes, free face painting and balloon twisting, and a juggling stilt walker. Concessions will be open and alcohol will be available. Please keep in mind that the stadium is cashless. The Partnership for Children of Lincoln and Gaston Counties will also be at the event giving away free books to the children in attendance.
Fall Fest and Movie Night
Stowe Family YMCA | October 28th
Let’s Go to the Movies! Gather up the family, grab some popcorn, and butter up because you’re in for a show! Fall Fest will be followed by a movie when the sun goes down. Trunk-or-Treat, arts & crafts, bounce house, and more.
You are invited to participate in our Fall Festival Trunk-or-Treat! Set up a booth, table or truck to pass out treats to attendees at the Fall Festival at the Stowe Family YMCA. No fee! Just fun!
Pumpkin Patch
Lineberger's Farm | Through October 31st
Join us for a fall celebration at the farm! Admission is free. Wagon rides are $7 and include a medium size pumpkin from the patch. Chickens are available to feed for 50 cents. Our farm store is full of over 100 different varieties of pumpkins and gourds... you will be amazed at nature's variety! Our playgrounds, wooden maze, corn crib, and nature exhibits are free to our customers.
Scarecrow Hollow
at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden | October 30th
Scarecrow Hollow is an eclectic display of original scarecrows at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. Some are traditional, some space age, and others are made of live plants! All of them are unique and designed by members, supporters, and local organizations. Explore Lost Hollow to take a photo with and vote for your favorite scarecrow.
Fall Sky, Pumpkins & More
Celebrate all things fall as you explore at Schiele Museum. Family-friendly autumn activities will adorn the nature trail, The Farm, Catawba Indian Village, and more. Meet live animals, go gemstone mining, pick a pumpkin, join in on our annual Pumpkin 'Chunkin, and so much more fun for the entire family!
