The perfect place to stay – Esquire Hotel
The Esquire hotel in downtown Gastonia is a boutique hotel where past meets present. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it was a bank in 1918 and later became known as The Lawyers Building. A six-year renovation transformed the Classic Revival-style building into a downtown luxury hotel, an architectural jewel featuring 35 guest rooms, an all-day restaurant aptly named Barrister’s, and a nostalgic coffee nook downstairs named the Notary. In the works is a rooftop venue giving you the most extraordinary views of your sunset. The esquire hotel is an experience with top-notch service, exquisite dining, and historic spaces. This is your downtown base camp.
Unique eats – Webb Custom Kitchen
While enjoying your stay in historic downtown Gastonia you must stop at Webb Custom Kitchen. This award-winning restaurant is in a theater that was built in the 1920s. Beautifully restored, and keeping the original charm of the venue, including the screen. Farm to table cuisine and a craft cocktail program second to none. When you walk in, you’ll be impressed. When your food arrives, you’ll be captivated!
Chill time – Cavendish Brewing Company
If you are into just relaxing, try some chill time at Cavendish Brewing. The beer is one of a kind in every way. From the ingredients they use, to the way the brew master monitors every step of the brewing process, their award winning beer is made to stand out from every other beer in the respective categories. They take pride in the idea that, in a sea of craft beers, people still swim towards the name Cavendish.
