Gaston County Tourism Welcomes the 2024 North Carolina Pickleball Championship to Gastonia

Gastonia, NC – Gaston County Tourism is thrilled to host this year’s North Carolina Pickleball Championship at the T. Jeffers Center on November 23-24, 2024! While the championship typically calls Asheville home, the recent impact of Hurricane Helene brought about a change of plans, and we’re honored to step in and provide an exceptional venue for the event. Nearly 200 players will join us in Gastonia for an exciting weekend of competition, camaraderie, and community.
Championship Details
With Men's and Women's Doubles set to take place on Saturday, November 23 and Mixed Doubles on Sunday, November 24, the North Carolina Pickleball Championship will bring together top talent from around the state. All medal winners will qualify for the Southern Pickleball Championships in Macon, GA, held January 3-5, 2025, at the world-renowned Rhythm and Rally indoor facility.

The T. Jeffers Center – A Perfect Fit for Pickleball
The T. Jeffers Center is a modern, spacious venue that opened just a year ago, with 15 hardcourt pickleball courts. With permanent nets and a pristine outdoor setup, players can expect a high-quality competition experience. Indoors, the center boasts 15,058 square feet of amenities, including a college-sized basketball court with seating for 350, dressing and shower rooms, a game room, and even a kitchen. Outside, visitors can enjoy the scenic youth baseball field, two picnic shelters, and a playground—making the T. Jeffers Center an ideal gathering spot for athletes and spectators alike.
