Don't miss these fall events and concerts in Gaston County, NC

As the leaves start to turn and the air becomes crisp, Gaston County comes alive with many exciting fall events. Our towns offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy the season, from outdoor concerts to festive gatherings. Whether you're seeking a night of live music, a fun festival, or a family-friendly event, Gaston County has something for everyone. Pair these events with unique dining and shopping experiences to create memories that will last a lifetime.


Stowe Park in Belmont

Presented by the Downtown Belmont Development Association, The Charlotte Symphony will perform a free concert at Stowe Park on September 20th. This event offers a perfect opportunity to enjoy classical music in a beautiful outdoor setting.


Experience a cinematic night under the stars with Belmont's Movies in the Park series. Popcorn, candy, and beverages will be available for purchase, so remember to bring your chairs and blankets! The lineup includes:

  • September 14th: The Sound of Music

  • September 21st: Double Feature: Land Before Time and The Iron Giant

  • October 12th: Hocus Pocus

  • October 26th: The Addams Family and Boo Fest

  • November 9th: E.T.

  • November 23rd: Gremlins


 

Mount Holly

Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Mount Holly Nights with "Food Truck Fridays." Held on Main Street in Mount Holly, these events feature live music, a variety of food trucks, local dining and shopping. Enjoy an opening act followed by the headliner. Both events include a beer and wine garden, a Kid Zone, and more. Upcoming acts include:

  • September 13th: 20 Ride - Zac Brown Tribute Band

  • October 11th: On the Border - The Ultimate Eagles Tribute Band


 

Cherryville

A spooky yet fun Halloween event in downtown Cherryville, Scary-Ville is set for October 18th! Explore Hocus Pocus Alley, meet your favorite Halloween characters, shop downtown merchants for unique finds, and rock out with Off The Record, a totally '80s tribute band.

 

Bessemer City

Craft beer, a backyard barbecue competition, and live music make for a great day at the 3rd Annual Brew & Que Festival on September 21st at Centennial Park in Bessemer City. Stay into the evening for the Sounds of Summer Concert with a live performance by Landslide.

Bessemer City's family-friendly Community-Wide trunk-or-treat will offer a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience on the morning of October 26th.


Cramerton

Bring your friends and family for an evening filled with live music, delicious food from local food trucks offering savory bites and sweets, at Cramerton's Concert Series on October 5th. Parents can relax and enjoy the music while kids have a blast tackling the ropes and slides on the playground.


Bring the whole family to Cramerton's Arbor Day Celebration on September 28th. The event features a Youth Fishing Derby, a tree-planting ceremony, dinosaur encounters, and nature craft projects.


Kick-off October 19th in Cramerton with a Fall Festival at the C.B. Huss Recreation Complex, followed by the Cramerton Concert Series featuring David Childers & The Serpents at Goat Island. Enjoy live music, food from local trucks, and plenty of fun for the kids.


Get ready to test your aim at the Turkey Shoot on Goat Island, November 2nd. This is a fun challenge where you could win a Thanksgiving turkey by hitting the bullseye on turkey targets. Or, check out the ping pong tournament, cornhole tournament, and disc golf putting accuracy contest.


Embrace the crisp fall air and get cozy at Flannel Fest on November 16th at Goat Island. Break out your favorite flannel for this evening of live music featuring Chicago Rewired Tribute Band and REO Survivor & Co. Tribute Band, Nacho Business food truck, firepits, and other fun fall activities.



Gastonia

Join the Gastonia East Rotary and the City of Gastonia on September 13th for 80's Night in Gastonia: Totally 80's Tribute with special guest Ben Gatlin Band. This free event offers local food trucks, craft beer, and a kids' play area—bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show!


Celebrate diversity at the third annual Gaston Walk and Roll Together on September 14th in downtown Gastonia. The streets will be alive with flags representing unique cultures, health services, and recreational activities.


On September 21st, the Gastonia Fall Bar Crawl offers a self-paced tour of six bars with live entertainment. Complete the route to enter a prize drawing! Also, take advantage of the Misfits Merchant Market, featuring local vendors.


Family fun, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, vendors, entertainment, a free KidsZone with mechanical rides, inflatables, and carnival games with prizes round out the fun at this year's Fall Festival. in Gastonia on October 19th.


 

Kings Mountain

On October 12th, the City of Kings Mountain invites you to the Mountaineer Days Heritage Festival, a celebration of local culture with a beard and mustache contest, sweet potato pie baking, and plenty of prizes.

 

Town of Dallas

The Gaston County Museum's Blues Out Back Concert Series offers relaxing evenings in your own lawn chair in the museum's backyard. Upcoming performances include The Gift on September 7th and Dave Killian on September 21st.


The annual Cotton Ginning Days is a weekend-long festival at Dallas Park from October 11th to 13th that features antique steam and gasoline engines, a kids' county fair, heritage arts, handmade crafts, and live music.


Experience a night of 1940s glamour and mystery at the Gaston County Museum's annual Murder at Hoff's fundraiser on Saturday, September 28th. This event will also feature live music from Letters From Home, period cocktails, and the thrill of solving a murder mystery with a cast of colorful characters.

 

Lowell

On September 7th, head to McCord Family Park for Music in the Park, an evening of live music with The Josh Gilbert Band, offering a unique blend of Southern Rock/Pop, Blues, and Americana in a family-friendly atmosphere.


Celebrate the season at the Fall Festival on October 19th, featuring craft vendors, food trucks, and live music.


 

Stanley

Grab a chair, your family, and friends for a night of free entertainment and good vibes at Cooling Off Concerts on Main on September 14th. The Cat 5 Band will take the stage for live music under the stars—a perfect way to enjoy a fun, laid-back evening in the heart of Stanley.


Get ready for one of Stanley's most anticipated annual events—Countryfest 2024 on October 5th. Downtown Stanley will come alive with a full day of activities, including live music, local vendors, mouthwatering food, carnival rides, and promises of memorable experiences.
