The Down Home Festival Returns to Bessemer City 2024

36th Annual Down Home Festival
Starting Thursday, families can enjoy rides and food vendors from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm during the "Family Night" event. Festival Rides will be located on Pennsylvania Avenue in Downtown Bessemer City. On Friday, the festival's main stage will open with an opening ceremony at 6:00 pm, followed by music from DJ Tim Johnson and a performance by Too Much Sylvia at 7:30 pm. The night will end with closing remarks at 10:00 pm.
The real fun begins on Saturday, with opening festivities and announcements at 12:00 pm. The Little Miss Down Home Festival Pageant will occur from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by ongoing entertainment, Sky High Skyler, face painting, and Dirty Grass Soul from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
