Updated: 6 days ago

Dinosafari Holiday Havoc

Are you looking for an unforgettable family outing this holiday season? Look no further than the Schiele Museum of Natural History in Gastonia, where the spirit of the season meets the thrill of dinosaurs! The museum's "Dino Safari: Holiday Havoc" exhibit and unique holiday events make it an ideal winter wonderland for kids and adults alike. Here's what you can look forward to:

Dino Safari: Holiday Havoc

Friday, November 29 – January 5

Imagine Santa and his elves taking on dinosaurs! This season, the Schiele Museum's "Dino Safari: Holiday Havoc" brings a whimsical clash of prehistoric beasts and holiday cheer. When Santa attempts to deliver gifts, a little Jurassic chaos breaks loose, blending festive fun with roaring dinosaur encounters. Remember your camera; you'll want to capture the smiles and (pretend) terror as dinosaurs and holiday traditions collide. This exhibit is included with general museum admission, so be sure to add it to your holiday must-see list!

Dinos & Donuts

Saturday, December 14 | 9–10 AM

What's more magical than holiday donuts with Santa? Donuts with SantaSAURUS! This special morning event offers families early entry into the museum, where you can snap memorable photos with a very prehistoric Santa, enjoy donuts, hear a festive dino-themed story, and even create a holiday craft to take home. Take advantage of the winter wonderland-themed Dino Safari and other surprises for the whole family to enjoy! Tickets are free for museum members, with general public pricing to be announced.

Dino Nights & Holiday Lights

Fridays, December 6, 13, 20, 27 | 5–10 PM

Get ready for a holiday evening at the Schiele Museum! During Dino Nights & Holiday Lights, the museum reopens its doors after hours for a magical evening adventure. In addition to experiencing Dino Safari: Holiday Havoc, you'll have the chance to explore The Farm, where thousands of twinkling lights illuminate the night, and visit with live animals for a unique seasonal experience. Wrap up your evening with a laser show in the planetarium, where holiday music and dynamic light displays create an experience unlike any other. Tickets are $8 for museum members and $10 for the general public, with separate pricing for the laser show.
