The Games are a day dedicated to an active, outdoor lifestyle that includes free riverside yoga, a 5K race, cornhole tournament, kayak time trial races, and more. Taking place at one of Gaston County’s crown jewels, Goat Island Park, The Games are open to participants of all ages and skill levels who want to take part. The majority of events are free to the public! The day kicks off with a youth and adult fishing tourney on the island and a yoga class. The 5K is a favorite, winding through Cramerton’s historic mill villages, across four different bridges, and down treelined streets. Locally brewed beer, food trucks and live music make for a great afternoon. We continue the day with a ping pong, cornhole and disc golf tournaments, group mountain bike ride, and kayak time trials.
