Discursus
100 E Second Ave
Gastonia
Transformed into a pocket park approved by the Gastonia City Council, this City-owned Heritage Park now features Discursus, a public art installation that beautifully represents the interconnectedness of Gastonia's past, present, and future, symbolizing the significant roles played by railroads and the textile industry. Local railroad ties, generously donated by NC DOT Rail Division, were skillfully incorporated by artist David, capturing the essence and spirit of the piece. Discursus serves as a powerful visual metaphor for the movement of transportation and the weaving of narratives, both literally and figuratively, guiding us towards progress.
